Anti-LGBT rhetoric are themes, catchphrases , and slogans that have been used against homosexuality or other non-heterosexual sexual orientations in order to demean lesbian , gay , bisexual , and transgender LGBT people. They range from the demeaning and the pejorative to expressions of hostility towards homosexuality which are based on religious , medical, or moral grounds. It is a form of hate speech   which is illegal in countries such as the Netherlands,  Norway,  and Sweden. Anti-LGBT rhetoric often consists of moral panic or conspiracy theory. In Eastern Europe, these conspiracy theories are based on earlier antisemitic conspiracy theories and posit that the LGBT movement is an instrument of foreign control and domination.

The Virginia General Assembly has enacted an Act that abolishes the death penalty in that state beginning July 1, , and no executions have been scheduled between the present and that date, effectively abolishing capital punishment immediately. The existence of capital punishment in the United States can be traced to the beginning of the American colonies.
All over the world the issue on whether death penalty is beneficial or not has been a topic of debates for decades now. Several advantages and disadvantages of death penalty have been cited, but to date it still remains to be a divisive issue among nations and there is still no clear trend on where the issue will end. Some countries have passed laws approving its implementation while others choose to abolish it.
